Pakistan summons Indian envoy to lodge protest over the ceasefire violation today (Monday).

Foreign Office summoned Indian Charge d’Affaires, Gaurav Ahluwalia to register Pakistan’s strong protest over the ceasefire violatio.

Pakistan protested Indian occupation forces vilations along the Line of Control in Kotkotera and Karela Sectors on Saturday. 

That resulted in the shahadat of an innocent civilian.

India kills civilian 

Due to Indian forces indiscriminate and unprovoked firing, 24 year old embraced martyrdom. Muhammad Ishtiaque hailed from Chowki village of Tehsil and District Khuiratta.

Director General South Asia and SAARC Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry, condemned India for targeting innocent civilians.

He underscored that such senseless Indian acts in clear violation of the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding.

Furthermore, he noted it as complete disregard for international human rights and international norms. 

The DG further said that such acts are threat to regional peace and security.

He said that by raising tensions along the LoC and the Workign Boundary, India cannot divert attention from the worsening human rights violations taking place in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He called upon Indian side to respect the Ceasefire Understanding; investigate this and other incidents of deliberate ceasefire violations and maintain peace on the LoC and the Working Boundary.

Zahid Hafeez also urged India to permit the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan to play its mandated role as per the United Nations Security Council Resolutions.
