Over 100000 housing units being built under different projects, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz says.
He said, while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.

Shibli shared details of the decisions taken during the weekly cabinet meeting.
Prime Minister Imran Khan presided over the meeting.
The Information Minister said that the government’s plan to boost construction activity is moving ahead.
He further said that more than one hundred thousand housing units are being built in different projects.
Shibli said under the government plan, people are getting loans from banks for construction of low-cost housing units.
Moreover, he said the banks have allocated five percent or 378 billion rupees of their loan portfolio for this purpose.
The banks are giving loans on five to seven percent mark-up for construction of five Marla houses.
Government set the loan limit to 3.5 million rupees.
Shibli Faraz further said the Prime Minister has taken strict notice of the incident in which a squad of vehicles broke the red traffic signal in Islamabad.
He was referring to killing of four persons in the road accident.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister instructed the federal and provincial governments to strictly discourage the use of security and protocol squads on roads which create a culture of fear and impunity.
