The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party has alleged a raid on the house of its chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai and arrest of his bodyguard. However, the administration has denied the allegations.

PkMAP General Secretary Abdul Rahim claimed a raid was conducted on the residence of party chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai in Quetta and one of his bodyguards was arrested.

The PkMAP general secretary announced a nationwide protest and said that Mehmood Khan Achakzai was punished for addressing the National Assembly.

Meanwhile, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leader Hafiz Hamdullah also condemned the alleged raid on Mehmood Khan Achakzai’s house.

Former Balochistan caretaker information minister Jan Achakzai denied the allegations and said that there is no truth in the news of the raid on Mehmood Khan Achakzai’s house.

He further said that the administration had taken action on the owner’s complaint to recover a plot located in front of Mahmood Khan Achakzai’s house.

According to Quetta deputy commissioner, an illegally occupied plot was recovered by the district administration on Quarry Road near the residence of the presidential candidate Mahmood Khan Achakzai.

On the other hand, DC Saad Bin Asad claimed that Mehmood Khan Achakzai had occupied the government land by erecting walls. A person was arrested for interfering in government affairs and drawing weapons on the assistant commissioner, he added.
