PM reiterates govt commitment to protect citizens from Coronavirus pandemic.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has reaffirmed government’s commitment to utilize all available resources to protect citizens from Coronavirus pandemic.

He said this while talking to National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser in Islamabad on Thursday evening.

PM reiterates govt commitment

He further said the government is in close contact with various economic international organizations to protect national economy from adverse impacts of Covid-19.

The Prime Minister advised the citizens to refrain from panicking and adopt all precautionary measures to fight the virus.

During the meeting, matters pertaining to government’s measures to control coronavirus were discussed in detail.

They also agreed to establish a parliamentary committee on Coronavirus with representation from both opposition and government to contain the virus.

Meanwhile, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Babar Awan called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Thursday.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed condolence and deep grief over the sad demise of the mother of Babar Awan.

He also prayed that Allah Almighty rest her soul in peace.

President appeals to the nation

President Dr Arif Alvi appeals to the nation to unite. He made this appeal in a tweet.

APPEAL TO MY NATION: We must rise to meet Challenge of #iFightCorona in Pakistan. Forget all differences & start helping the people. In this War everything else is secondary because this has to be fought by every family in every home. Ensure ur personal safety & then help others.
