PTI MNA Rashid Shafique arrested over Masjid-i-Nabwi incident

Rawalpindi-Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) legislator Sheikh Rashid Shafique, the nephew of Sheikh Rashid Ahmad, was arrested on his appearance at the Islamabad International Airport (IIA) from Saudi Arabia in connection with a sacrilege case on Sunday.

Shafique was latterly remanded in the guardianship of the New Airport police for a day on the charge of posting a videotape on social media in which he was seen encouraging people who chanted taglines against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation inside the demesne of Masjid-i-Nabwi.
The case was registered in Attock against former high minister Imran Khan and other top numbers of the former government as well as 100 to 150 other people.
