SC directs Islamabad chief commissioner to provide alternate site to PTI for Azadi March

Islamabad – The Supreme Court directed the Islamabad chief commissioner on Wednesday to give an alternate point to the PTI to hold its Azadi March by 230 pm and create a traffic plan for protesters so they could reach it.

A three-member bench headed by Justice Ahsan, and comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Sayyed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi, issued the directives while hearing the solicitation filed by Islamabad High Court Bar Association( IHCBA) President Mohammad Shoaib Shaheen a day before, seeking the junking of leaguers in the capital ahead of the PTI’s march.
” Let them kick and also go home,” Justice Ahsan said.” We anticipate the government to remove fences.”
The court directed the innards clerk and police to review their programs on road closures.
Justice Ahsan said the court would also seek assurances from the PTI that the kick would be peaceful, the property would not be damaged and there would be no torture or violence.
Before the moment, the court directed the innards clerk, Islamabad’s principal manager, deputy manager, inspector general of police, and advocate general to appear in the court at 12 pm.
The apex court issued notices to parochial governments as well.
When the hail proceeded after 12 pm, Justice Ahsan said the officers, along with the attorney general, should find a result.
He also directed PTI’s counsel Faisal Chaudhry to” sit at the negotiating table” with the administration officers and gave him time till 230 pm to get instructions from the party leadership in this regard.
The court also directed authorities to give complete protection to PTI leaders for the accommodations.
Still, it should give us with a list,” If the PTI fears apprehensions. We’ll cover those who sweat apprehensions,” Justice Ahsan said.
He added said political parties had their own interests but they were secondary to the country and the people.
