Who is Muhammad Irfan? Prisoner Files Petition Demanding Same Facilities as Imran Khan

An inmate at Adiala Jail has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court seeking equal treatment and facilities as those granted to PTI founder Imran Khan.

The petitioner, identified as Muhammad Irfan, is serving a 25-year imprisonment sentence under Section 302 for a murder conviction. He asserted that despite repeatedly submitting requests to the jail superintendent for “superior class” accommodations, his appeals were consistently rejected.

Irfan contended that, in contrast to his situation, Imran Khan benefits from a range of privileges within the prison, including enhanced living conditions and frequent access to visitors.

Through his petition, the prisoner has implored the court to order the relevant authorities to extend to him the same privileges currently enjoyed by the PTI founder.

The petition formally lists the Secretary of Interior, Superintendent of Adiala Jail, Chief Commissioner, and Home Department as respondents in the matter.
