Who Is Paul Dano’s Wife? Actor Trending Online Following Quentin Tarantino Diss

Actor Paul Dano has recently been trending online after filmmaker Quentin Tarantino criticized his performance in There Will Be Blood, calling him a “weak, uninteresting guy.”

Tarantino appeared on the Bret Easton Ellis podcast, where he ranked the 2007 Paul Thomas Anderson film at number five among his favorite movies. He added, “It’s supposed to be a two-hander, but Dano is weak sauce, man… He’s just such a weak, weak, uninteresting guy.” When asked if he liked Dano in other projects, Tarantino stated, “I don’t care for him. I don’t care for him, I don’t care for Owen Wilson, and I don’t care for Matthew Lillard.”

Born on June 19, 1984, Dano has been in a long-term relationship with actress Zoe Kazan, daughter of screenwriters Nicholas Kazan and Robin Swicord, since 2007. The couple met during the rehearsal of the play Things We Want. Speaking about their first on-stage kiss, Kazan shared in a 2012 W Magazine interview, “Kissing in a movie or a play doesn’t feel real – there’s a remove… When we did kiss in real life, it felt totally different.”

Although not legally married, Dano refers to Kazan as his wife. The couple shares two children—a daughter born in 2018 and a second child in 2021. In a 2022 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Dano revealed that he lives with his family in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, and described family life during the Covid-19 pandemic as a rare period to focus on his loved ones: “The first part of the pandemic was one of the only times where work didn’t seem to be a part of my life… We shared all meal times, but we each needed a point of the day where we weren’t playing 2-year-old games.”

Dano also shared his excitement and love for his family during the birth of their first child in 2018, saying on The Tonight Show, “I’m so tired and I’m so in love. It’s so extreme. Your heart has gone supernova in one sense.”
