Putin’s Daughter Luiza Rozova Expresses Regret Over Father’s War in Ukraine

04 December, 2025 14:25

Vladimir Putin’s secret daughter, Luiza Rozova, 22, publicly expressed her sorrow over her father’s war in Ukraine after being confronted by a Ukrainian journalist in Paris. The exchange occurred with Dmytro Sviatnenko, whose brother, Volodymyr, was recently killed in a missile strike carried out by Russian forces.

During the impromptu confrontation, Rozova, also known as Elizaveta Krivonogikh, acknowledged the reporter’s bravery, saying he had “courage” to approach her, but made her excuses and eventually walked away on the streets of Paris. She said, “I’m really sorry that this is happening. Unfortunately, I’m not responsible for this situation. I’m glad you had the courage to come up to me and talk, but unfortunately….”

Sviatnenko pressed Rozova to call her father and urge him to stop the attacks, suggesting she could go to Kyiv or Pokrovsk to influence him. She replied, “Well, can you imagine? How am I going to go there now?” and later added, “Unfortunately, I can’t help you. I’m very sorry.”

Rozova, who lives in Paris under the surname Rudnova, works for two art galleries and carries a low public profile. Born from Putin’s extra-marital relationship with Svetlana Krivonogikh, Rozova’s upbringing remains largely private, and her contact with Putin is unclear. After her existence was revealed in 2020, she initially shared a lavish lifestyle on social media, including private jets, fashion, and exclusive parties, but later deleted her accounts and vanished from public view.

The Ukrainian journalist confronted Rozova about her residence in Paris, asking why she lives in Europe rather than Moscow. She responded, “I’m not from Moscow. Well, when I was a student, I decided to move to Paris.” Despite her acknowledgment of the tragic events in Ukraine, Rozova emphasized her lack of control over her father’s decisions and distanced herself from his policies.

The encounter highlights the ongoing personal and moral questions surrounding the families of global leaders involved in conflict, and Rozova’s statements underline the human consequences of the war on those indirectly connected to the Russian president.
