Is Ariana Grande’s 3-Eggs-a-Day Diet Real? Rumor Amid Viral Video Claims

Is Ariana Grande’s 3-Eggs-a-Day Diet Real? Rumor Amid Viral Video Claims
A viral video circulating online recently suggested that Ariana Grande cried during an interview after being asked about an alleged diet of three eggs a day. The clip, shared widely on X, sparked speculation among fans that the “Wicked” actress had been following such a restrictive regimen.
For context, the 3-eggs-a-day claim is false. Ariana Grande has never disclosed such a diet, and the viral video is an edited version of footage from her press tour for Wicked. The original interview, conducted last year by Jake Hamilton, involved questions to Grande and co-star Cynthia Erivo about how they had positively influenced each other. Grande became emotional during the conversation, but it was unrelated to any diet.
Fans have recently scrutinized Grande’s appearance after noticing she looked slimmer during the press tour, leading to unverified claims that she may have struggled with an eating disorder. The singer addressed the speculation last month on her Instagram Story, sharing a 2024 interview clip as a “loving reminder” to her followers. She criticized the public’s focus on her weight, stating, “I think in today’s society, there is a comfortability that we shouldn’t have at all, commenting on others’ looks, appearance… From what you’re wearing to your body to your face to your everything, there’s a comfortability that people have commenting on that that I think is really dangerous, and I think it’s dangerous for all parties involved.”
Ariana Grande emphasized her gratitude for her support system, which has helped her cope with criticism about her appearance. An anonymous family member told Daily Mail that the singer has been “bothered” by online comments and a recent red carpet incident during the Singapore premiere of Wicked: For Good on November 13. During the event, a man named Johnson Wen rushed toward Grande and hugged her forcefully. Cynthia Erivo stepped in to protect her, and security removed the man, who was deported to Australia and banned from re-entering Singapore.
The family source noted that the incident reminded Grande of the 2017 terrorist attack at her Manchester concert. Her support system, including Erivo—who reportedly checks on her several times a day—has been helping her maintain her mental health. The insider said Erivo has taken on an almost “motherly” or “big sister” role, sometimes handling media questions on Grande’s behalf, which the singer reportedly appreciates.
