Uzbek Foreign Minister meets Pakistan Army Chief and FM Qureshi during his visit to Pakistan today.

Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Rawalpindi today (Wednesday).

During their meeting, matters of mutual interest, overall regional situation including Afghan Peace Process and bilateral cooperation in various fields came under discussion.

Both sides reiterated the desire to further enhance bilateral relations including efforts for peace and security in the region.

The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s positive role for regional peace and stability, especially Afghan Peace Process and pledged to keep working for better relations between two brotherly countries.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Dr. Abdulaziz Kamilov arrived in Foreign Office today.

A delegation accompanied him. Foreign Secretary Suhail Mehmood warmly welcomed him.

The visiting dignity also planted a sapling in the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Later he calls on Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

The meeting aims to exchange views on all aspects of bilateral affairs including regional and global issues.

This visit will help in promoting bilateral relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan and will increase bilateral cooperation in different fields.
