Trump Asserts U.S. Will Continue War with Iran, Claims Iran Targeted Non-Belligerent Nations

U.S. President Donald Trump reaffirmed his stance on the ongoing conflict with Iran during a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel at the White House. Addressing reporters, President Trump emphasized that the United States would persist in its military actions against Iran, asserting that “We will continue the war with Iran.”

President Trump further explained the U.S.’s position, accusing Iran of attacking civilian areas in countries that had no involvement in the conflict. “Iran has targeted civilian areas in countries that were not involved in this war,” the president stated, underscoring the expansion of Iran’s aggression beyond the immediate conflict.

Trump also responded to questions about Israel’s involvement, clarifying that Israel did not pressure the U.S. to attack Iran. “Israel did not force us to attack Iran,” he stated, reinforcing that the decision to engage militarily was based on national security concerns.

The president went on to explain that Iran had already posed a direct threat to the U.S., and had the U.S. refrained from attacking, Iran would have likely attacked first. “If we didn’t attack Iran, they would have attacked us,” Trump added.

Reflecting on the scale of the U.S. military campaign, President Trump boasted, “We have destroyed everything in Iran.” His remarks signal a continued commitment to military action, despite ongoing global calls for de-escalation.
