King Charles’s US Visit: Will It Be Affected by Trump Incident?

Britains King’s, King Charles, will visit to the US in coming Monday, the topic has become discussion following a shooting attempt on US president Donald Trump on Saturday. Yesterday night, a gunman tried to attack a dinner at the Washington DC Hilton, where the all-senior officials were presented with President Trump. The gunman, carrying a shotgun and handgun, was swiftly counteracted by Secret Service agents, who exiled Trump and the rest of the guests, but unfortunately one officer was shot but save by his bulletproof vest and was taken to the hospital.

There was a one guest in the hotel, a 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen Torrance, California is considered as a suspect, and now facing charges including attack with a dangerous weapon. Trump shared a photo of Allen being held and defined him as a “lone wolf.”

As the King Charles scheduled to visit to US to meet Trump and attend a White House banquet, the incidence happened just day before. It’s still undistinguishable if the attack will affect the King’s visit, but UK officials have guaranteed that security preparations for the visit are being carefully revised. Darren Jones, Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister, confirmed that extra protections are being taken for the King’s safety, given the history of incidents at the Washington Hilton, such as the 1981 shooting attempt on President Reagan.
