Senior Iranian General Says Axis of Resistance Will Prevail Against US and Israel

A senior military adviser to the commander-in-chief of Iran’s armed forces has said the Axis of Resistance will draw the United States and Israel into a “quagmire” and ultimately prevail against any future aggression. Speaking to Lebanon’s Al Mayadeen television network on Wednesday, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said the resistance front stretches from Iran to Lebanon and extends across the Mediterranean Sea, the Strait of Hormuz, the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, and the Red Sea.

Rahim Safavi said the Axis of Resistance would continue to play a decisive role in shaping the political and security landscape of the Middle East without the presence of foreign powers. He reiterated that Iran and its regional allies would remain committed to confronting what he described as US-Israeli aggression and expressed confidence that the resistance front would ultimately prevail.

The senior commander also praised Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement, describing it as a defender of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He added that Iranians and Lebanese from different religious communities, including Muslims and Christians, would stand together in defending their homelands against external threats.
