US Airstrikes Disable 116 Telecom Towers in Iran’s Hormozgan Province

According to an Iranian official, 116 telecommunications towers in Iran’s Hormozgan province were put out of service by US airstrikes, leading to major disruptions in communication services.

As per Iranian media reports, phone line, mobile phone and internet services have been affected in northern Bandar Abbas and Hajiabad.

Hormozgan’s Director General of Communications said the strikes damaged key telecommunications infrastructure, including traffic and bandwidth transmission lines that provide services across the region.

The Iranian official confirm to Iran’s Tasnim new agency that that the attacks had damaged critical infrastructure, leaving landline, mobile and internet services unavailable in several northern parts of the province.

Network reconstruction work began immediately after the attacks, with technical teams and equipment send off to Hormozgan and nearby provinces to reestablish connectivity as soon as possible.

The trouble comes as tensions between the United States and Iran continue to intensify, with both sides exchanging military strikes and strong statements, raising concerns about the impact on civilian infrastructure and regional stability.
