Immediate withdrawal of charges against Kashmiri journalists demanded.

The officials of CPJ and Reporters Without Borders from Asia made this demand.

Immediate withdrawal of charges

They called for immediate and unconditional withdrawal of charges against Kashmiri journalists Masarrat Zahra and Peerzada Ashiq.

In a statement in New York, Senior Asia Researcher of Committee to Protect Journalists Aliya Iftikhar said India should reform its laws to make such capricious actions by police impossible.

In a statement, head of Asia-Pacific desk of Reporters Without Borders Daniel Bastard called on Indian authorities to immediately drop these outrageous charges against Masarrat Zahra in the absence of any substantiation by police.

Meanwhile, International Kashmir lobby group Youth Forum for Kashmir (YFK) held a webinar.

They discussed IOJK situation because they noted the entire world has forgot oppression of Kashmiris in occupied territory.

They also lamented Indian troops  killed four more Kashmiri youth in Shopian and Kishtwar districts on Friday.

Under that scenario,  an international Kashmir lobby group organized a webinar.

On the other hand, spokesman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference has expressed his deep concern over the plight of Kashmiri detainees.

In a statement on Monday, he said that most of these detainees had spent more than two decades in jails.
