118 more deaths due to Coronavirus

As per official data, 5,358 new coronavirus cases have surfaced in the country over the last twenty-four hours, taking the total tally to 160,118.

However, the death toll from the virus stands at 3093 after 118 deaths reported over the last twenty-four hours.

Meanwhile, 31,500 Corona tests carried out during this period.

Moreover, 59,215 patients have so far recovered from the disease.

According to province-wise details, so far total 60,138 cases reported in Punjab, 59,983 in Sindh, 19,613 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 8,794 in Balochistan.

Furthermore, 9,637  cases reported in Islamabad, 1,213 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 740 in Azad Kashmir.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has taken serious notice of shortage of the medicine Dexamethasone.

It directed all pharmacies to ensure uninterrupted supplies and availability of the said drug at the price which the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan fixed .

Besides, it also banned un-prescribed sale of aforesaid drug.

The Ministry also directed them to sell the medicine only to the customers with the valid prescription of registered medical practitioner.

Moreover, it also asked the pharmacies and distributors to maintain the sale or purchase record of the drug.

It further asked them to submit the record to the ministry fortnightly.

Furthermore, the ministry warned them of strict action in case of any delinquency or violation.
