During the visit, Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa emphasized upon troops to extend all out support to the local population who remained affected due to unprovoked Indian ceasefire violations.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the relevant officers briefed Army Chief on the latest operational situation.

They also briefed him on Indian ceasefire violations deliberately targeting local residents living near the LoC.

Interacting with officers and men, General Bajwa appreciated them for continued vigil and remarkable operational preparedness.

He urged them to remain steadfast and discharge duties with utmost sincerity and devotion.

Earlier, Corps Commander Rawalpindi, Lieutenant General Azhar Abbas received the Chief of Army Staff at the Line of Control.
