President expresses condolence on death of journalist Arshad Waheed Chaudhry.

On Saturday, President Dr Arif Alvi expressed his condolence in a tweet.

He condoled the sad demise of vice president National Press Club, columnist and senior Geo News journalist Arshad Waheed Chaudhry.

According to his tweet: “My condolences on the sad demise of senior journalist, columnist and anchor Arshad Waheed Chaudhry.”

He prayed May his soul rest in peace and may Allah give strength to the family to bear this loss.

Late Arshad Chaudhry was diagnosed with Covid-19 and had been on ventilator after developing complications.

Meanwhile, Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwalla also  expressed grief and sorrow.

They issued separate condolence messages and prayed Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.

They further prayed May God grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.

Leader of the House in the Senate, Senator Dr. Shahzad Waseem and Leader of the opposition in the Senate Raja Zafarul Haq also expressed grief and sorrow.

According to another press release, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi also expressed condolence over death of senior journalist Arshad Waheed Chaudhry.

Furthermore, he prayed for the high ranks of the departed soul.
