Pakistan reports over 3130 new cases of Coronavirus and 56 deaths during the last twenty-four hours.

According to the latest statistics, 3,138 people tested positive after conducting the tests of 40,202 people.

The figure of patients recovered from the virus has reached 374,301.

However, 56 people died of Covid19 over the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the government has enforced Smart Lockdown in fifty five areas of Lahore.

The administration had to make this decision, while keeping in view increasing Corona cases there.

These areas include different blocks and streets with more Corona cases, in Data Ganj Bakhsh Town, Shalimar Town, Samanabad Town, Aziz Bhatti Town and Allama Iqbal Town.

However, the government has allowed some businesses to remain open.

They include medical services, pharmacies, medical stores, laboratories collection points, hospitals and clinics.

The National Command and Control Centre had warned to close down more sectors amid rising cases of COVID-19

Minister for Planning who also heads NCOC had said this yesterday.

He regretted that people are not following the SOPs of Coronavirus as they did during the first wave.

He said that National Command and Operation Center has witnessed sixty deaths per day on average.

Moreover, the NCOC also noted four percent increase in Corona patients during the last two months.
