Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Choudhari issued a statement on Friday to elaborate factual position.

Notably, he cited the exemption in line with the established procedures and practices of the Committee.

Moreover, he expressed disappointment that a certain section of the Indian media is unnecessarily politicizing this issue.

He lamented Indian media’s casting of negative aspersions on Pakistan’s efforts to implement its obligations under the UN sanctions regime.

Furthermore, he called upon UNSC member states to take notice of breaching confidentiality of the Committee’s proceedings and records and their malicious use by the Indian media.

Choudhari said such irresponsible attitude not only reflects blatant disregard of the procedures of UN Security Council, it is also a mockery and violation of UN Security Council resolutions.

Earlier, Foreign Office today summoned senior Indian diplomat and lodged Pakistan’s strong protest.

In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said FO protested against the Indian occupation forces violations along the Line of Control on Wednesday.

He said one innocent civilian sustained serious injuries due to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing from the Indian occupation forces.

The latter perpetrated this crime in Tatta Pani Sector.

He said the Indian occupation forces have been continuously targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire, heavy-caliber mortars and automatic weapons.

India is committing these crimes along the LoC and the Working Boundary
