Govt remains ready for talks with the Opposition on any issue except NRO, according to  Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan.

He expressed government’s readiness to hold talks with the opposition on any issue, excluding corruption cases.

The minister said this, while talking to the media in Rawalpindi today.

He further said the opposition should sit with the government to reach consensus on national and international issues.

Ghulam Sarwar Khan said opposition may talk on Covid-19, threat from India and Kashmir issue.

He further said the government and opposition may also hold talks on electoral reforms and economic problems.

However, he made clear the government’s desire for negotiations should not be misunderstood as its weakness.

The Minister said holding public gatherings a right of the opposition parties, but he hastened to add it could lead to faster spread of the pandemic.

He said if the Prime Minister has asked the opposition to suspend its public gatherings for two to three months; it is because of the public interest due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Effective steps to deal with intensifying second wave of Covid19

Meanwhile, Government is also taking effective steps to deal with intensifying second wave of Covid19.

In a tweet today, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz shared this news.

Furthermore, he underlined public health and protection of people’s lives as the foremost priority of government.

Shibli appealed to the people to strictly adhere to the precautionary steps.

Moreover, he asked them to avoid participating in public gatherings or activities that put their health and lives in danger.
