Interior Minister briefed law and order situation and FIA related cases.

Director General FIA Wajid Zia and IG Police Islamabad Amir Zulfiqar separately called on Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed in Islamabad today.

The DG FIA gave briefing to the Minister about the FIA.

IG Police Islamabad  briefed him about law and order situation in the federal capital.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Shaikh Rashid Ahmad said he had issued directives to ease visa facility for the Chinese investors to attract investment in the country.

He said this, while talking to the media in Islamabad on Monday.

Sheikh assured to accelerate efforts to ensure the return of innocent Pakistani prisoners languishing in foreign jails.

Furthermore, he expressed commitment to make efforts towards bringing improvement in the law and order situation in the country.

The Interior Minister also vowed to ensure to further improve performance of Islamabad police.

However, Sheikh Rashid Ahmad also slammed the opposition parties.

He said they would fail in their designs to stoke political instability in the country.

Notably, the minister challenged the opposition to submit their resignations.

He further said it is a democratically elected government and under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the country will be taken forward.

Govt ready for talks

At the same time, he expressed readiness of the government to hold discussions with the opposition on all the issues except the corruption cases and the NRO.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan will never give NRO to the corrupt leaders.

While regretting the language being used by Nawaz Sharif against the state institutions, the Interior Minister said we are proud of our armed forces.

He reminded Nawaz Sharif of immense sacrifices of the armed forces for the security and defense of the motherland.
