Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa expressed these views, during his visit to North and South Waziristan districts.

He said Pakistan stays committed to peace and stability in the region.

Furthermore, he highlighted Pakistan is playing its part by solidifying border security and capacity enhancement of Frontier Corps and Law Enforcement Agencies.

However, he also emphasized to have to remain vigilant and steadfast to thwart hostile attempts to create chaos and reverse the gains of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.

On the occasion, the personnel concerned also briefed the army chief on progress of border management regime.

Moreover, they briefed him on stabilization operations, socio-economic development projects including opening of border terminals.

While interacting with officers and men, the Army Chief commended their commitment and professionalism.

Meanwhile, he also interacted with tribal elders at Mir Ali.

Besides, the COAS appreciated their unflinching support and sacrifices in fight against terrorism.
