Chela Ram Kewlani led National Commission of Minorities meet President Dr Arif Alvi in Islamabad today (Tuesday).

While talking to them, President Alvi said that the government is taking all necessary measures to protect the rights of minorities.

Besides, he said the government also taking steps to ensure the security of their holy places.

The President further said that the government provided equal rights and opportunities to minorities.

He said the government encouraged them to play their role in the national development.

He said that they are also taking steps to ensure the protection of churches, shrines, temples, gurdwaras and other places of worships of minority communities.

Meanwhile, the members of the Commission thanked the government for constituting the Commission.

They also thanked for protecting the rights of minorities.
