What time is rain expected in Karachi today?

The Meteorological Department has forecast rain in Karachi after noon today with some wind and thunder.

It added that light and moderate rain is expected in metropolis today. There may be wind and thunder in some places, but the weather is likely to remain hot and humid during the next 24 hours, the weather department said.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 30 degrees Celsius during the last 24 hours, while the maximum temperature is likely to be between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius during the next 24 hours. Humidity level in the air is 59 per cent.

On the other hand, the Department of Meteorology said that from tomorrow, more monsoon winds will enter the country from the Arabian Sea, due to which there is a possibility of rain in eastern areas of Sindh and Balochistan, including Karachi.

It further predicted that rains are expected in Islamabad, Punjab and Kashmir during July 10 to 16 due to monsoon winds. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan will receive rain during July 11 to 15, while some places of Balochistan may experience rain during July 12 to 14. On July 13, there is a possibility of wind and rain in Sukkur, Larkana and Jacobabad.

The Meteorological Department further said that the highest temperature in the country on Monday was recorded in Turbat at 45 degrees Celsius, while Jacobabad 44, Sibi, Rohri, Mithi, Mohenjo Daro 42, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad, Dera Ismail Khan 39, Islamabad 38. Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Faisalabad, Dadu 37 degrees and Gilgit 34 degrees.
