Govt has decided to ban PTI, says information minister
The federal government has decided to ban Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), says Information Minister Ataullah Tarar.
“Pakistan and PTI cannot move together and the government will register a case against the party,” the federal minster told a news conference today.
He added: “If the country has to develop, then Pakistan and the PTI cannot go together.” There is an impression that no one can lay a hand on them (PTI) and our patience and tolerance has been considered our weakness. We have been given political training to respect political opponents.
Attaullah Tarar said that the government has decided to file an Article 6 case against former president Arif Alvi, PTI founder and former deputy speaker Qasim Suri.
He added that the PTI founder was a fascist ruler as our mothers and sisters were arrested. Shahbaz Sharif had offered during the PTI government that they are ready to sign charter of economy.
He further that a review petition will be filed against the decision of the Supreme Court. The decision has been taken jointly by the government and its allies.
The federal minister said that you (PTI) have foreign funding and the Jewish lobby supports you. A cipher drama was staged in the country, he added.
