Javed Akhtar opens up about failure of his first marriage with Honey Irani

Renowved Bollywood poet and writer Javed Akhtar has admitted that his first marriage failed because of his drinking habit.

Javed Akhtar admitted that he was responsible for failure of his first marriage with Honey Irani. He blamed himself for the breakup.

Earlier in an interview, Javed Akhtar said that the failure of his marriage was almost his fault.

As much understanding as I have today, if I had that much understanding at that time, things would not have been so bad, he said.

Although he did not clarify his guilt at that time, but in a recent interview, Javed Akhtar explained the reason behind his breakup with Honey Irani.

He attributed the failure of his marriage to his drinking habit and said that his marriage failed due to the irresponsible behavior of his addiction to alcohol.

The writer is considered one of the famous writers of Bollywood industry due to his stories, but his private life is also not hidden from anyone. “I feel that I wasted 10 years of my precious life drinking, which I could have used for some positive and constructive purpose,” he lamented.

He advises the youth that if you drink alcohol, stop it, because most of the biggest mistakes he has made in his life have been while drinking.
