New Zealand secured a spot in the ICC Champions Trophy final with a comprehensive victory over South Africa. Kiwis will face India in the title match on March 9 in Dubai.

Batting first, New Zealand posted an imposing total of 362/6, led by centuries from Rachin Ravindra (108) and Kane Williamson (102).

Their 164-run partnership set the foundation, while Daryl Mitchell (49) and Glenn Phillips (49) provided late acceleration. Lungi Ngidi was South Africa’s most successful bowler, taking 3/72.

Chasing 363, South Africa’s top order showed resilience, with Temba Bavuma (57) and Rassie van der Dussen (69) stabilizing the innings.

However, wickets fell at regular intervals, reducing the Proteas to 218/8. David Miller fought back with an unbeaten 100 off 67 balls, but the team ultimately fell short, finishing at 312/9.

Mitchell Santner led New Zealand’s bowling attack with figures of 3/43, supported by Glenn Phillips and Matt Henry, who took two wickets each.
