Air Chief Zaheer Babar Sidhu to continue after term ends

The government of Pakistan has decided to continue the services of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu after his term ends.

Important decisions were made in the federal cabinet meeting today, the most important of which was the approval to promote Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir to the rank of field marshal.

The Government of Pakistan has approved the promotion of General Syed Asim Munir (Nishan-e-Imtiaz Military) to the rank of Field Marshal for ensuring the security of the country and defeating the enemy based on the superior strategy and courageous leadership of the Battle of Haq, Operation Banyan Marsus.

The federal cabinet said that Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir led the Pakistan Army with exemplary courage and determination and fully coordinated the war strategy and efforts of the armed forces. Thanks to the unparalleled leadership of the Army Chief, Pakistan achieved a historic victory in the war of truth.

Meanwhile, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, upon being promoted to the rank of field marshal, said that he is grateful to Allah Almighty for receiving this honor.

Field Marshal General Asim Munir said that I dedicate this honor to the entire nation, the Armed Forces of Pakistan, especially the civil and military martyrs and ghazis. I am grateful for the trust of the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister, and the cabinet. This honor is a trust of the nation, for which millions of Asims have sacrificed their lives.
