PM extends heartfelt facilitation to COAS as field marshal promotion

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended heartfelt congratulations to General Syed Asim Munir on his promotion to the rank of Field Marshal, recognizing his outstanding leadership and strategic excellence in defending Pakistan’s sovereignty.

In a statement posted on social media, the Prime Minister wrote:

“On behalf of the entire nation, I extend my heartfelt felicitations to General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), on his well-deserved promotion to the rank of Field Marshal. His exemplary leadership during Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos crushed the enemy’s nefarious designs and brought great honor to our Motherland.”

The Prime Minister further praised the Pakistan Armed Forces under General Munir’s command, highlighting their unity, courage, and unmatched professionalism:

“Under his command, our valiant Armed Forces staunchly defended Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity with the highest standards of military excellence.”

Shehbaz Sharif concluded the message by paying tribute to the nation’s heroes:

The federal cabinet recently approved General Asim Munir’s promotion in recognition of his leadership during key military operations, including Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos. This historic decision marks him as one of the few military leaders in Pakistan’s history to receive the prestigious title of Field Marshal.
