The Balochistan government on Tuesday unveiled its budget for the fiscal year 2025-26, introducing key financial relief measures for public sector employees and pensioners.
According to budget details, salaries for government employees from grade 1 to 22 will be increased by 10%, while retired government personnel will receive a 7% rise in pensions.
To reduce pay disparities, the government proposed a 20% Disparity Reduction Allowance for eligible employees from grade 1 to 16.
In major welfare steps, Rs1 billion has been allocated to the Balochistan Pension Fund to ensure long-term pension stability.
Additionally, Rs4.5 billion has been earmarked for the Balochistan Health Card program, aimed at expanding access to healthcare services for the province’s citizens.
These initiatives reflect the Bugti-led government’s focus on employee welfare and public health improvements across Balochistan.
