Summer vacations 2025 extended untill September 7

The administration of Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Multan has announced an extension in the summer vacations of 2025.

A notification issued by the university stated:
“On the recommendations of the Deans Committee along with others held on 18.08.2025, Summer Vacations 2025 are extended till September 7, 2025.”

The notice also mentioned that all male and female hostels of the university will reopen on the same date.

Phased Reopening of Schools in Punjab

Earlier, the Punjab government shared its plan for the step-by-step reopening of schools and colleges across the province.

• From August 18, 2025, classes for Grade 9, Grade 10, Intermediate, O-Level, and A-Level resumed.

• In the second phase, students from Grade 1 to Grade 8 will return on September 1, 2025.

This plan was announced by the Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat.

School Timings in Punjab

The Punjab government also announced new timings for schools:

• Single shift schools: 7:30 am to 1:00 pm (Monday to Thursday), and 7:30 am to 11:30 am (Friday).

• Morning shift: 7:30 am to 1:00 pm (Monday to Thursday), and 7:30 am to 11:30 am (Friday).

• Evening shift: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm (Monday to Thursday), and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm (Friday).
