Pakistan Launches Youth Ecopreneur Program 2025 to Boost Green Startups
Pakistan has unveiled the Youth Ecopreneur Program (YECO) 2025 under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP), aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs to lead the country’s green transition. The initiative offers mentorship, funding, and international exposure for startups focused on sustainability and land restoration.
According to officials, the program aligns with Pakistan’s climate resilience and eco-friendly innovation goals, giving youth-led businesses the opportunity to scale their ventures while showcasing ideas globally.
Applicants must be under 35, lead a legally registered business, and work in sustainability or land restoration. Selected participants will gain access to advanced training, expert mentorship, a USD 100,000 seed funding pool, legal and IP assistance, and a fully-funded international trip for finalists. Each category winner will further be honored with the Youth Ecopreneur Award of USD 10,000.
The application deadline is 14 September 2025 via the Digital Youth Hub or the YECO platform.
Officials highlighted that this initiative underscores Pakistan’s commitment to engaging youth in green economic development, particularly as the country remains highly vulnerable to climate change impacts.
