Pakistan’s First Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Honored in GHQ Ceremony

A Guard of Honour ceremony was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi in honour of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), Hilal-e-Jurat, Chief of Army Staff, on his appointment as Pakistan’s first Chief of Defence Forces.

Contingents from the three armed forces presented the guard of honour, and the chief guest was received with a general salute.

The ceremony was attended by senior military officers, including the Chief of the Naval Staff and the Chief of the Air Staff. During the event, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir also inspected the guard of honour, marking a dignified celebration of his historic appointment.
