PEIRA Reaffirms Partnership with Private Schools to Promote Quality Education

Islamabad, January 29, 2026 —The Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) has reaffirmed its commitment to working as a partner, supporter, and facilitator of private educational institutions to collectively promote quality education across the country.

This commitment was demonstrated through a capacity-building workshop for private school heads, organized by PEIRA to strengthen leadership, governance, and educational standards within the private sector.

The closing ceremony was graced by Ms. Farah Naz Akbar, Parliamentary Secretary for Federal Education, as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Ikram Ali Malik, Chairman Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), also addressed the participants.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson ICT-PEIRA Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah stated:

“Private educational institutions are key partners in the national education system. PEIRA’s role is to facilitate, guide, and support schools in delivering quality education. This workshop is a clear reflection of our collaborative and facilitative approach.”

The Chief Guest appreciated PEIRA’s initiative and emphasized the importance of public–private collaboration in improving educational outcomes and institutional capacity.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ikram Ali Malik highlighted the need for alignment between teaching practices, assessment reforms, and school leadership to ensure academic excellence.

PEIRA also expressed its sincere appreciation to Roots Millennium Schools for their valuable support and cooperation in making the workshop successful, acknowledging their contribution toward the promotion of quality education.

Participants welcomed the initiative as a positive step toward supportive regulation, professional development, and shared responsibility for educational improvement.

PEIRA reiterated its resolve to continue such engagements to ensure that quality assurance, facilitation, and reform move forward together, benefiting students, parents, and the education system.
