Josh D’Amaro has been a lifelong Disney fan

Originally from Massachusetts, D’Amaro has been passionate about Disney since childhood, recalling visits to Walt Disney World with his siblings. He initially pursued art at Skidmore College in New York, aspiring to be a sculptor, before earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Georgetown University.

A distinguished career at Disney

D’Amaro joined Disney in 1998 at Disneyland Resort, working in sales, marketing, and business planning. Over the years, he held key roles, including CFO of Disney Consumer Products Global Licensing, Vice President of Disney’s Animal Kingdom (2013–2014), Senior Vice President of Resort and Transportation Operations, and Chief Commercial Officer. He was named President of Disneyland Resort in 2018.

Chairman of Disney Experiences and future CEO

As chairman of Disney Experiences, D’Amaro led the development of major attractions like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Avengers Campus, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and World of Frozen. His leadership has guided Disney’s ambitious projects, including upcoming themed lands at Disney parks.
