Meghan Markle’s Move Ahead of Queen Elizabeth II Anniversary Sparks Debate
The Duchess of Sussex, who released two new candles to honor her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, has been accused of being disrespectful to the late Queen just hours before what would have been her 100th birthday.
She took her Instagram and shared a message: ““Introducing two new candles beautifully crafted by our founder and named in honour of her children’s birthdates.
“No. 604 named for Princess Lilibet’s birthdate, is floral and radiant with notes of amber, water lily, and santal.
“No.506, named for Prince Archie’s birthdate, is warm and grounding with notes of ginger, neroli, and cashmere.”

User on Reddit, calling out Meghan for her actions, one said “As ever, merching the kiddos on the late Queen’s 100th birthday. Utterly disgusting.”
Another one agreed: “It is 100% about trolling the [Royal Family] on [the late Queen’s] 100th birthday. She doesn’t care if she sells a single candle.”
A third one continued: “Remove the titles and let’s see how she promotes her products after the titles are removed.”
A fourth one added: “This is the absolute breaking point. Enough is enough. Seeing Lilibet on her As Ever BS on the Queen’s birthday?!?!?!”
Others loved Meghan’s latest offering, with one fan writing on X: “Nice to see Meghan announcing new products releasing on April 22 ahead of Mother’s day.”
Another one commented: “I’m so excited for this!! Can’t wait to get my candles, matchbox, & chocolate.”
It comes after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex completed their four-day visit to Australia last week.
