Two Royan Institute Scientists Named Among World’s Top 1% Most Highly Cited Researchers

Two scientists from Iran’s Royan Institute have been recognized among the world’s top 1% most highly cited researchers, according to the latest Essential Science Indicators (ESI) rankings compiled by Clarivate. The distinction highlights the global scientific impact of researchers based on the citation performance of their published work.
According to the Royan Institute’s Public Relations and International Affairs Office, Dr. Hossein Baharvand and Dr. Faezeh Shekari were honored by Iran’s Ministry of Health and Medical Education after being included in the prestigious global ranking. The recognition reflects the significant influence of their research within the international scientific community.
The Essential Science Indicators evaluate researchers across multiple disciplines by measuring how frequently their publications are cited worldwide over a rolling 10-year period. The annual ranking identifies scientists whose research has demonstrated exceptional academic impact and influence on a global scale.
