Pakistan Observes 27th Martyrdom Anniversary of Captain Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed

Today, the nation marking the 27th martyrdom anniversary of Captain Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, heartfelt tributes from the country’s leadership and armed forces

Captain Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed’s his bravery and dedication to defending Pakistan praise in a rich tribute by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and the Pakistan Armed Forces.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif words for remembering the national hero, during the 1999 Kargil War, The astonishing bravery and utmost martyr shown by Captain Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed, which marked as one of the best illustrations of bravery in Pakistan’s military history. He said the martyr’s bravery and dedication to the homeland will continue to motivate future generations.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said protecting the country is a revered duty and that the sacrifices of Pakistan’s martyrs continue to defend the nation’s peace, security and sovereignty.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, and the Pakistan Armed Forces also paid tribute to Captain Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed on his martyrdom anniversary.

Captain Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed showed extraordinary bravery, courageous leadership and firm determination during the 1999 Kargil War. Despite tremendously tough situations, he fought on the front lines and embraced martyrdom while defending the country, according to the ISPR.

The ISPR said his sacrifice remains a lasting symbol of courage, patriotism and dedication to Pakistan. His story continues to inspire future generations to serve and protect the nation with the same spirit and commitment.

The people of Pakistan and the armed forces reaffirmed their resolve to uphold the values and ideals for which Captain Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed gave his life, saying his sacrifice will always be remembered as a shining chapter in the country’s history.
