Salman Khan Personally Monitors Relief Efforts for Assam Flood Victims

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is once again using his charitable organisation, Being Human, to support people in need. After recently showing support for students during protests, the 61-year-old actor has now turned his attention to flood victims in Assam.

According to Bollywood Hungama, Salman has launched a multi-phase relief effort through his charitable organisation, Being Human, to support flood victims and provide them with essential supplies.

To reach people in need, the actor is reportedly working with the Salman Khan Fan Club (SKFC) Assam to organise and distribute relief items.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is loved by fans not only for his films and TV shows but also for his kind nature and charity work.

A Mid-Day report said that Salman is personally keeping an eye on the relief efforts while continuing to shoot for director Vamshi Paidipally’s upcoming film in Mumbai.

According to a source close to the actor, Salman contacted the Salman Khan Fan Club in Assam himself to plan the relief work in different phases.

During the first stage of the relief work,Being Human has teamed up with SKFC Assam to distribute ready-to-eat food packets in Sivasagar. The supplies are being sent from Guwahati.

Each food packet includes biscuits, jaggery, poha, puffed rice, bread, cheese and jam. The source said Salman wants to make sure that affected families have enough food to survive for at least three days while the situation improves.

The relief packages will also include essential items such as sanitary pads, mosquito coils, drinking water and water purification tablets.

The relief campaign will continue in several phases to help people in some of the worst-hit areas of Assam.

The second stage is probable to begin next week and will center on providing ration kits and medicines to affected families.

In the final stage, Being Human is likely to aid reconstruct schools and hospitals that have been severely smashed by the floods.
