Punjab Govt Extends School Closure Until August 24
The Punjab government has directed all public and private schools across the province to remain closed until August 24.
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said schools must follow the official summer vacation schedule and should not reopen before the announced date.
The instructions apply to both government and private educational institutions. School administrations have been warned not to resume classes before August 24.
The minister said the Punjab government has set aside one month of the summer holidays for remedial learning camps to help students overcome learning gaps.
According to the government, these camps are meant to improve students’ academic performance before the start of the new school term.
Rana Sikandar Hayat urged school administrations to cooperate with the government and ensure students receive their full summer vacation.
Parents and students have also been advised to follow the official schedule, with August 24 confirmed as the earliest date for schools to reopen.
