Russia Reaffirms Support for Pakistan’s Upcoming SCO Chairmanship

ISLAMABAD: Ambassador Albert P. Khorev took part in a meeting of Ambassadors of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States hosted by Dr. Muhammad Faisal, Pakistan’s National Coordinator for the SCO.

The meeting focused on organizational matters related to Pakistan’s upcoming Chairmanship of the organization.

In his remarks, Ambassador Khorev emphasized that the SCO is among the key priorities of Russia’s foreign policy.

He also highlighted the need to promote specific initiatives in finance, investment, technologies, industrial cooperation, the digital economy, transportation and energy.

In conclusion, the Ambassador wished his Pakistani colleagues every success in their upcoming SCO Chairmanship and reaffirmed Russia’s commitment to constructive cooperation.
