Ejaz Waris Apologises to Katrina Kaif Over Post-Pregnancy Weight Comments

The Pakistani RJ Dr Ejaz Waris, has make an apology publicly to Bollywood star Katrina Kaif after getting backlash for his comments about her post-pregnancy look and weight.

The debate expanded attention after Salman Khan called out about social media trolling during the latest episode of Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar. The actor defended Katrina and criticized people for commenting on celebrities’ looks and weight, particularly after pregnancy.

Dr Ejaz Waris made an apology through a video and shared it on his Instagram. He expressed regret over his comments saying he understood that his words could have hurt Katrina Kaif and her fans. He also protracted his request for forgiveness to Salman Khan and others who felt upset by his comments.

He also wrote an apology caption on his video, “ SORRY KATRINA KAIF ❤️

From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely apologize to Katrina Kaif for my recent remarks. After Salman Khan mentioned yesterday on Bigg Boss, I reflected and realized that my words may have hurt Katrina and many of her fans. Body shaming was never my intention. I’m also sorry to Salman Khan and to everyone who felt offended. Sometimes words come out wrong, and I genuinely regret mine.”

In the video, Ejaz clear up that he was a fan of both Salman and Katrina and claimed that his remarks were made carelessly while recording a video. And described that his purpose was not to body shame any person, but admit that his words have affected people.

“Body shaming was never my intention. I’m also sorry to Salman Khan and to everyone who felt offended. Sometimes words come out wrong, and I genuinely regret mine.” He added ‘I shouldn’t have said all those things, I just joked a bit for the hook of the video, but a lot of people are hurt because of my words.”

He ended the message by telling Salman and Katrina to “keep rocking” and referred to Katrina as the “superstar of India”.

Ejaz also revealed that he had been receiving criticism from people worldwide d had left him feeling burdened. He said his apology was genuine and later disabled comments on the post.

The controversy started after Dr Ejaz Waris commented on Katrina’s look during the Ambani family’s Ganesh Chaturthi festivities. His statements portrayed backlash, as well as from Pakistani actor Ali Zafar, who came forward to defend Katrina.

During the weekend episode of Bigg Boss 20, Superstar Salman Khan also defended Katrina, noted that post-pregnancy weight gain is normal, and that she should concentration on her family before going back to work when she is ready.
