Danyal Zafar Responds to Nadia Afgan’s Viral ‘Deflated Balloon’ Remark

Pakistani actor and singer Danyal Zafar has responded to Nadia Afgan’s viral “deflated balloon” comment about his appearance in the drama Raqaas.

Danyal addressed the remark in a detailed Instagram note, taking the comment lightly while also asking viewers to focus on the message of the drama instead of judging actors based on the characters they play.

Referring to Nadia’s balloon comparison, Danyal jokingly called it a new compliment. He also said the comment could be seen as proof that his weight-loss journey was working.

However, Danyal’s response went beyond his appearance. He requested audiences to recognize the variance between fictional characters and the real people who represent them. He cheered viewers to think about the choices made by characters and know what a story is trying to talk.

Talking about Raqaas, Danyal said the drama highlights the suppression of self-expression in society. He particularly pointed to the restrictions faced by women and girls within their own families.

The actor also talk over what he called the toxicity surrounding “shipping culture.” He insisted people to keep a vibrant modification between fictional characters and real-life actors, adding that appreciation and respect should not be ignored when those limits become unclear.

Danyal further spoke about social media and how digital technology has changed the way people interact. He said technology was expected to bring people closer, but online spaces have instead seen an increase in hatred and negativity. He encouraged people to choose kindness over pessimism and ended his message by asking everyone to “adjust” their frequency.

The controversy began after Nadia Afgan discussed Danyal’s character while reviewing Raqaas on Kya Drama Hai. While commenting on his appearance, she compared his character with his previous role as Sarbuland and used a balloon comparison to describe his face. Nadia Khan also considered in on the talk with a similar remark.
