Pakistan, European Parliament Delegation Hold Consultations on Bilateral Ties

ISLAMABAD: Acting Foreign Secretary Ambassador Khalil Hashmi received a delegation of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) led by MEP Mary Khan-Hohloch of Germany’s AfD party.

The two sides held a candid and constructive exchange of views on Pakistan-EU relations, GSP+, legislative reforms and regional developments, according to the Foreign Ministry.

The European Parliament delegation appreciated Pakistan’s role in promoting dialogue and mediation in efforts to address the US-Iran conflict and expressed understanding of Pakistan’s perspectives on key regional issues.

The interaction provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange perspectives on issues of mutual interest and discuss areas of continued engagement.

The meeting also reaffirmed the importance of maintaining regular dialogue between Pakistan and the European Union to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance mutual understanding.

The discussions covered Pakistan-EU cooperation as well as broader regional developments, with both sides emphasising the value of continued diplomatic engagement.
