The New York Daily News reported demonstrators gathered both in Times Square and several blocks away, outside the New York Hilton hotel.

According to reports, several arrests reported late Friday after anti-police protests broke out in Midtown Manhattan.
Videos posted on social media showed several clashes between the crowd and city police.
Moreover, the social media videos also showed a group of protesters burning an American flag.
Several people were taken away in handcuffs after a confrontation with police on Sixth Avenue, the Daily News reported.
Sam Costanza, a photographer for the newspaper, said he believed his nose had been broken after being attacked by 10-15 members of the crowd, according to the newspaper.
Two members of the media were among those arrested, FreedomNews.TV reported.
As per the Daily News report, several police officers also sustained injuries.
It reported a group of protesters vandalized an East Village restaurant.
Moreover, the group reportedly damaged the outdoor dining structure and harassed customers.
The crew approached Jackdaw NYC on Second Ave. near 14th St. around 8:45 p.m. Thursday.
They threw drinking glasses onto the ground and defaced the outdoor dining booths and windows with spray paint, markers and sharpies, cops said.
According to officials, they scrawled phrases on the windows, including “Black Women Matter” and “Black Kids Matter.” officials said.
