Two people died and eight people injured due to firing during a “chaotic night” on the Virginia Beach oceanfront.

As per the Virginia Beach Police Department’s news release, officers patrolling the resort area heard multiple gunshots around 11:20 p.m. Friday.

Eight people suffered gunshot wounds and hospitalized with serious to life-threatening injuries.

One woman lost life due to the shooting at the scene, the news release said.

Earlier, police Chief Paul Neudigate said in a press conference that the death may have resulted from an unrelated shooting.

The news release also said that one officer suffered minor injuries shifted to hospital.

However, a vehicle had hit that officer during the investigation, Neudigate previously said.

According to the chief, a different officer confronted and fatally shot a man when shots rang out as police were investigating the initial shooting.

Meanwhile, gun violence has shaken an ordinary citizen of United States since long.

Recently, Colorado shooting claimed several human lives.

On the one hand, it shows negative violent trends among citizens On the other, it shows flaws in legislative side and failure at administration side.

Together, it makes U.S. look like an uncivilized nation. People outside U.S. thinks so.
