Bad news for Karachiites!

Mercury in the port city is likely to go up to 39 degree Celsius in coming days, forecasts Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

It added that the intensity of heat will remain high in the next three to four days with the maximum temperature likely to remain between 37 and 39°C.

The weather will remain hot during the daytime, the PMD said and added sea breezes are likely to restore in the evening.

Temperature in Karachi, currently, is 32°C and winds are blowing at a light speed. The Met Office said humidity level in the air is 55 per cent. Moreover, the minimum temperature was recorded in the port city at 25.6°C.

Yesterday, the metropolis experienced the hottest day of the year as mercury hit 37 degrees Celsius.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department noted the day was one of the most humid with sea breezes halted. The level of humidity had reached 45 per cent, making the heat more intense than the recorded temperature.
