NAB arrests media mogul Mir Shakil over land allotment

NAB arrests media mogul Mir Shakil over land allotment in Lahore today (Thursday).

Mir Shakilur Rehman had appeared before National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for the second time.

Earlier, NAB had questioned him for 2 hours on March 5. 

They arrested him for illegal exemption on 54 plots in Lahore.

A spokesperson for NAB has confirmed the arrest.

He said Mir Shakil failed to provide satisfactory answers to the questions put to him.

The NAB would produce him in the court on Friday to seek 14-day physical remand, according  to teh NAB the statement.

The 54 kanal land in question is in Lahore s Johar Town area and was allotted during former Prime Minister(then Chief Minister) Nawaz Sharif’s tenure.
